One of my first activities for the Activity Day girls was making these fun Remember to Pray pillowcases. I wanted to create something to help them remember to say their prayers everyday, since it is a requirement in their Faith In God books and I settled on a pillowcase.

Have I told you how much I love my Activity Days calling? I love it, I think these girls are so fun. Ages 8-11 has got to be great for parents because they are still young enough to be kids and appreciate things but old enough to play games, do crafts and in general enjoy life with you. For our valentines day activity we followed the lesson Mormon Activity Days blog thats all about learning about your love language.

The girls in our Activity Days group loved this project/lesson. I love when we can combine a fun project with a meaningful lesson, it seems to be the best balance with this age of girls. I found a great outline on doing an activity on the science of happiness HERE. The website I just listed Mormon Activity Days is a fantastic website with tons of great ideas on, if you are an activity day leader you must check it out. I basically followed the outline found there for the lesson.
Activity Day Progress Binders
I am currently serving in the Primary in our ward, teaching the Valiant 9 class as well as an Activity Day leader. I love Activity Days and coming up with fun crafts, lessons and projects for the girls to do that go along with the Faith in God for Girls manual. I wanted a way for the girls to visually see how they were progressing with the faith in God program so I created these fun binders. The girls were so excited to get these which made me happy since it was no quick ordeal to create them!
